Job Description: Early Years Educator (Pre-Primary, Daycare & Extended Programmes | Ages 2–6) 

Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan 

Work Mode: Fully On-site

Every adult in the learning space contributes intentionally to children’s development. Role Purpose**** 

The Early Years Educator is responsible for creating a safe, structured, and developmentally  rich environment for young children, aligned with Bodhira’s curriculum framework, routines,  and teaching standards. 

This is an implementation-focused role involving observation, reflection, and professional  judgement under the guidance of academic leadership. 

Educators at Bodhira: 

• Are not curriculum designers 

• Are not free-running activity facilitators 

• Are developmental educators working within a clear system 

Reporting & Professional Structure 

• Reports to: Head of Learning 

• Works collaboratively with fellow educators and support staff 

• Follows curriculum intent, routines, schedules, and standards set by the school Core Responsibilities 

1. Classroom & Learning Practice 

• Implement lesson plans and activity frameworks as guided 

• Maintain clear learning intent in all activities 

• Balance play, structure, exploration, and care appropriately

• Support children’s curiosity, independence, and emotional regulation • Ensure emotional and physical safety at all times 

2. Observation & Child Development 

• Observe children across classroom, play, and routine settings 

• Notice developmental progress and emerging needs 

• Maintain basic developmental records as required 

• Share observations with the Head of Learning during reviews 

This role requires attention, thinking, and reflection — not mechanical execution. 3. Care, Routines & Daycare Hours 

• Treat routines (meals, hygiene, rest, transitions) as developmental opportunities • Support emotional regulation, self-help skills, and social interaction • Maintain consistency across academic and daycare hours 

• Ensure extended hours remain structured, intentional, and calm Daycare at Bodhira is not passive supervision

4. Working With Adults 

• Receive feedback openly and act on it professionally 

• Participate in planning meetings, reviews, and training sessions • Coordinate respectfully with caregivers, helpers, and support staff • Maintain professional conduct and boundaries at all times 

5. Parent Interaction (Structured & Limited) 

• Share observations when required, under guidance 

• Avoid comparisons, promises, or academic assurances 

• Direct complex or philosophical parent queries to the Head of Learning Teachers do not negotiate curriculum, pedagogy, or philosophy with parents. 6. Systems, Discipline & Professional Responsibility 

• Maintain basic documentation (ERP / LMS / records) as required • Follow schedules, routines, safety, and hygiene protocols 

• Treat systems, checklists, and documentation as part of professional practice

Zone Emphasis (Based on Strengths) 

While all educators work across learning areas, each teacher may be assigned a primary Zone  Emphasis based on strengths and experience. 

This is: 

Not a separate role 

Not a promotion 

Not a reduction of core responsibilities 

Possible Zone Emphases include: 

Language & Expression 

Storytelling, conversation, early language development, listening, articulation • Sensorial, Motor & Physical Development 

Gross and fine motor skills, movement-based learning, hands-on exploration • Creative & Aesthetic Exploration 

Art, music, rhythm, materials, and non-verbal expression (process over product) • Social, Emotional & Care-Based Learning 

Emotional regulation, peer interaction, conflict mediation, routines as learning 

Zone emphasis helps strengthen learning environments while keeping the school coherent and  aligned. 

Who This Role Is For 

We are looking for educators who: 

• Genuinely enjoy working with young children 

• Understand that play requires structure and intent 

• Are open to feedback and continuous improvement 

• Can work within a framework without feeling controlled 

• Are emotionally steady, reflective, and professionally responsible 

Experience & Qualifications 

• 1–5 years of experience in early childhood education preferred 

• Freshers with strong aptitude and openness to learning may be considered • ECCE / D.Ed / NTT or relevant training preferred (not mandatory) 

Judgement, observation skills, and attitude matter more than degrees.

• Treat daycare as babysitting 

• Are uncomfortable with discipline and consistency 

• Prefer informal, low-accountability environments 

Work Structure 

• Full-time, on-site role in Jaipur 

• Working hours aligned with school and daycare operations • Rotational responsibilities during extended hours 

• Saturdays or extended days as per the school calendar 

Compensation
