Management's Message

Education is an evolutionary process, and newer concepts and ideologies keep entering this progressive thought process. In addition, great thinkers, educationists, philosophers, and academicians contribute to the development of education with their innovative ideas and rich experience gained through their international experiences and globally accepted and recommended teaching practices. Scottish High has been fortunate to have received the able guidance of an experienced, dedicated, and committed educationist Late Mr. Shomie Das, an alumnus of The Doon School, Dehradun. An illustrious educationist, he served as the Headmaster of The Doon School, Mayo College, Lawrence School, Sanawar, and the Head of Physics Department of Gordonstoun School, Scotland. With an unrelenting spirit, Mr. Shomie Das was a mentor, teacher, principal, and education consultant. His career began when he was appointed as the Physics teacher at the globally renowned Gordonstoun School, Scotland, in 1958 after graduating from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, and Emmanuel College, Cambridge, where he was the inter alia tutor to Prince Charles.
