English Teacher (Secondary)

We are seeking a qualified and experienced English Teacher for the Secondary Section to join our academic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach English Language and/or English Literature to secondary school students in accordance with the British Curriculum
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons
• Assess, record, and report on students’ progress accurately
• Prepare students for internal and external assessments (IGCSE/GCSE, as applicable)
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
• Participate in curriculum development, staff meetings, and school activities
• Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school leadership

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in English or a related field (mandatory)
• Teaching qualification (ATHE Level 6 Diploma in Teaching, B.Ed., or equivalent)
• Minimum 4+ years of experience as an English Teacher in a school setting
• Proven experience teaching Secondary level students
• Experience with the British Curriculum is essential
• Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Experience preparing students for IGCSE/GCSE examinations
