Biology Teacher

The Biology Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based instruction in life sciences to middle or high school students.

• Plan and deliver daily lessons aligned with district curriculum and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).

• Teach concepts including cell biology, genetics, evolution, human body systems, ecology, and microbiology.

• Design and implement hands-on labs, experiments, and inquiry-based activities.

• Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs (differentiation, scaffolding, UDL principles).

• Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance learning.

• Develop and administer formative and summative assessments.

• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress

  Qualifications & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Science Education, or a related field (required).

• Master’s degree in Education or Biology (preferred).

• Valid Teaching qualification is a must (Teaching diploma, ATHE, B.Ed)

• Credential Evaluation Report from a recognized agency (e.g., WES, ECE, or equivalent) — completed or in process is mandatory.

• Currently employed as a Biology Teacher in a K–12 school setting.

• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience as a Biology Teacher in a school environment.
