Senior Mathematics Teacher (Cambridge & IB) Job Description
Education
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a relevant subject.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
Experience
Minimum 5–8 years of teaching experience, preferably in a Cambridge and/or IB school.
Experience teaching Mathematics at the Senior School level.
Strong understanding of Cambridge IGCSE/A Level and/or IB Mathematics curriculum and assessment requirements.
Experience in international school environments will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons aligned with Cambridge and IB curriculum frameworks.
Develop students' conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning, problem-solving and analytical skills.
Use inquiry-based, student-centred and differentiated teaching approaches.
Design engaging lessons that connect Mathematics to real-world applications and interdisciplinary contexts.
Effectively use technology and digital tools to enhance Mathematics learning.
Cater to varied learning abilities and provide appropriate academic support and extension opportunities.
Encourage students to take ownership of their learning and develop independent learning skills.
