AS / A & IBDP English

The Role

Sanjay Ghodawat International School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable educator to teach English for the AS/A Level and IBDP programmes. The primary purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality instruction, foster a deep understanding of the English language and literature, and prepare students for their advanced-level examinations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective English lessons that align with the AS/A Level and IBDP curriculum standards.
• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans, instructional materials, and learning activities.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Collaborate with fellow educators, department heads, and staff to enhance the educational programme.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress and development.
• Participate in professional development activities and contribute to the school community.

What We're Looking For

• A relevant academic degree in English or a related field.
• A recognised teaching qualification or certification.
• Demonstrated expertise and prior experience in teaching English at the AS/A Level and/or IBDP level.
• Minimum 2 years of experience is mandatory.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with students, staff, and parents.
• A professional, collaborative, and committed approach to education.
